Traditional Lokta Paper From Nepal

Lokta paper is made from the bark of the wild-growing Daphne bush, a plant that naturally regenerates in the Himalayan forests. Rather than relying on conventional machine-made paper, traditional Lokta papermaking is a hands-on process, with the bark harvested, prepared, made into paper and sun-dried by hand.

The result is beautifully tactile paper with natural texture and character. Small variations in the surface and appearance are part of what makes handmade Lokta paper special — each notebook feels like a real piece of traditional craft rather than a mass-produced stationery item.
